Williams Also Accepts Punishment for Formula 1 Team Racing Point

Williams racing team follows McLaren and refrains from further legal action against Racing Point.

The team accepts the penalty imposed on the Formula 1 team by the international motorsport federation FIA.

Racing Point was punished with a deduction of 15 World Cup points and a fine of 400,000 euros for taking over a brake part exactly from Mercedes.

Mercedes is also supplying the engine and gearbox for Racing Point cars, which has appealed the sentence.

Ferrari and Renault find the penalty for Racing Point much too light.

They claim that their competitor’s cars are also similar to Mercedes’ cars and plan to file another official complaint.
