European Prime Ministers Return Safely to Poland After Visit to Kyiv

A Polish government spokesman said that the prime ministers of Poland, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic had returned safely to Poland after their visit to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

 

Mateusz Morawiecki (Poland), Janez Jansa (Slovenia) and Petr Fiala (Czech Republic) went by train to Ukraine on Tuesday morning to show support for the government in Kyiv.

They were the first government leaders to visit the country since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.

In the evening, after their long train journey, the prime ministers met with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky and their Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmihal.
