Dating App Tinder Comes With Warnings for Scammers

Dating app Tinder will warn users about scammers operating on the platform. Messages also appear in other dating apps from parent company Match Group that alert users to the types of scams that often occur. Apps like Tinder, which allows you to select a possible date while swiping, have overgrown. This makes the apps a popular area for criminals who try to steal their 'match' money. In the United States alone, the damage from this type of fraud amounts to an average of $ 300 million per year, the Federal Trade Commission calculated based on data from 2020. Match Group advises people looking for dates on Tinder or other apps never to send money to people they've never met. HBO Loses Subscribers Due to End of Amazon Agreement

Video streaming service HBO Max and pay channel HBO to have nearly two million fewer subscribers in the United States than three months ago.   That's because a distribution agreement with Amazon has ended. HBO was also previously available on Amazon Prime. Nevertheless, the number of subscribers to HBO MAX and HBO grew worldwide. HBO has 69.4 million subscribers worldwide, of which over 45 million are in the United States. This puts the company well behind competitor Netflix, which has 214 million worldwide. Separate figures for the number of subscribers of streaming service HBO Max were never given parent company AT&T, making the figures difficult to compare. "We know that one of the most valued things Tinder can do to help members feel harmless is to give them more sureness that their matches are real and to give them more controller over who they interact with", it reads on Tinder. According to the British channel Sky News, the accounts will be controlled by computers and humans. For example, algorithms will check the user's photos, while the user may also be asked to take some selfies in real...

Kevin Spacey Again Charged With Sexual Misconduct

Two men charged Kevin Spacey on Wednesday with sexual misconduct in the 1980s. The men, who were minors at the time, are demanding damages.   Actor Anthony Rapp, who previously told his story, is one of the two alleged victims. He already said in 2017 that the actor tried to seduce him at a party as a 14-year-old boy. The other man who brought charges is anonymous. Rapp was the first to accuse the 61-year-old actor of sexual misconduct. This was followed by many more stories about Spacey's transgressive behaviour.
