Los Angeles Lakers Starts Basketball League Without Fans
Los Angeles Lakers will start the American NBA basketball league without fans in the stands, the titleholder announced.
The new season starts just before Christmas.
The Lakers have made that decision in consultation with the authorities in California and say they are closely nursing the developments neighbouring the coronavirus.
The club of LeBron James became champions a month ago by beating Miami Heat in the final 4-2. Those duels were played in Orlando, at the Disney World complex.
Recently, the plan to start the basketball league on December 22 was approved. 72 games will be played, less than usual.
