Boris Johnson: We will Not Extend the Transition Period after Brexit
The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson maintains the current transitional time period he agreed upon with the European Union in his Brexit package. The British will keep the EU on 31 January next year.
The move period included in the package operates until December 2020.
The time period can then be expanded by another a couple of years. This means that in the event the British Home of Commons approves the offer, the EU rules will still apply to the British until a minimum of the end of 2020.
Nevertheless, these are no more allowed to take part in EU judgements after January 31.
“The us government will never extend the changeover period of time,” stated Johnson spokesman today. “The excellent minister believes you will have a great deal with the European Union by the end of 2020.”
He emphasised that every choices has to be taken into consideration, together with a departure from the EU without having a deal.
