Unrest in Minneapolis After Police Shoot A Man Dead at Traffic Control

Near the American city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, hundreds of people took to the streets last night after a young black man died when police shot him at a traffic stop.

 

When the young man wanted to drive away, an officer fired. He died shortly afterwards. The atmosphere in the city is tense. George Floyd, the man who was killed last year by excessive police brutality, is currently under trial.

In a neighbourhood in Minneapolis’s American city, victim Daunte Wright was stopped by the police for a traffic violation.

During the check, the officers found that there was an arrest warrant for the 20-year-old man. When a cop tried to stop him, Wright got back into his car and drove off.

One of the officers shot Wright as he drove away. Wright was able to drive a few more blocks but came to a stop against another car. The young man died in his car.
