From 1 October, a corona pass is required to enter Vatican City. Every resident, employee or visitor must then show the pass that shows whether someone has been vaccinated, tested negative or cured of the coronavirus.
The EU pass and other foreign certificates are valid, the Vatican said. However, the police of the papal state in Rome will carry out checks.
An exception is made if believers come to attend mass or other celebrations in Vatican City. They must follow the health measures.
