NATO Boss: Russia Prepares for Attack on Ukraine
Everything indicates that Russia is still preparing for an attack on Ukraine, says NATO boss Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, Moscow will not stop at recognizing two renegade Ukrainian regions.
Security in Europe has not been in such danger for a generation as it is today, the secretary-general of the Western alliance says.
The fact that the Kremlin has requested and received parliamentary permission to act by force outside its borders makes it even more dangerous, according to Stoltenberg. He “continues to call on Russia” to change its mind and turn around.
“We are seeing more and more troops leaving their camps and in combat formation and combat-ready,” the Norwegian NATO chief said.
