Exclusive Q&A with Ahmad Yasir

What got you into the world of Instagram?
I have been an entrepreneur my whole life and wanted to do something great in the social media field. I saw an opportunity when Facebook acquired Instagram. First I started as a regular user then I realised it can change people’s life. So, I created my media company and built my business around it.

Was it ever just for fun? or was it always serious?
As I mentioned in the previous question, first it was all for fun, then I realised it can be more than fun. Since the beginning, Instagram has changed a lot and has added heaps of new features which made me curious about the App. Instagram is fun and serious at the same time.

You have 7.2 Million followers combined between @ghetto and @reactions do you still pinch yourself at the success?
No, it’s just the beginning for me. As the Instagram community is growing and products are getting bigger and better, there’s always room to grow and do better and try new things on the platform. For me personally having followers doesn’t make
me successful, it helps motivate me to create better content to get the job done.

Having more followers gives me leverage on others and it provides better business opportunities for me.

How long has it taken you to grow these platforms?
I started using Instagram about 6 years ago. Back then it was much easier to grow, But as time passes Instagram & Facebook are getting bigger and better than ever.

More business is using this platform its always working on developing new features which helps businesses like us to grow using cutting edge technology embedded within Instagram.

What are the top 2 brands you have enjoyed working with?
Recently I have worked with a mobile app called PUBG, which is very popular in the younger audiences, Also I am working with app called TikTok, which is also another upcoming social media platform.

If you could go back in time, would you do anything differently?
It’s a tough question, I believe in diversification, so if I go back in time and have opportunity to redo Instagram again. I would have more pages with different themes. And I would have never changed the old Instagram feed algorithm.

Do you have any advice for people that have the same dreams as you?
Never give up on your dreams, if you are really passionate about what you do, give your full focus and try your best. There is no shortcut in any business or life. So always follow the rules and regulation. It will help you grow and make you a better entrepreneur.

What more can we expect from you in the future?
I am always working on new projects besides social media. Diversification in business is key to my success. I cannot disclose my future plans, but you guys will hear some good news in the coming future.
