The British authorities have been the first country in the world to permit to infect of volunteers with the coronavirus to investigate what the virus causes in humans.
This concerns a maximum of ninety volunteers between the ages of 18 and 30.
The lung disease that the virus causes, in some cases mainly affects the elderly. A large proportion of the deceased patients are very old.
